I'm No Angel - what type of coach do you need?

I’m no angel, and if you’re a busy working Mum (or Dad) who some days can’t tell your arse from your elbow, then I’m the coach for you.

You may see photos of health coaches sitting on the couch, looking serene and radiant while drinking matcha tea—that’s not me! They look so perfect and calm that it can be intimidating, but perfection isn’t what we’re striving for. It’s about being happy and in balance, with the real awareness that some days we might lose the plot—when our hormones don’t want to cooperate, the kids are driving us insane, and the dog throws up on the carpet, all while your boss is reminding you of the looming deadline for that important presentation.

Let’s be clear—coaching is about making positive changes. But it’s not about changing your personality. It’s about becoming the best version of YOUR authentic self by making the changes you’ve always wanted. The ones you feel in your gut and at the back of your mind—when you dream, when you feel the most joy. The things that light you up, even if you don’t know why. The vision of yourself that feels out of reach because, before you know it, another week, month, or year has passed.

I am not a perfect health coach. I don’t sit holding a mug of matcha tea in both hands, embracing each moment, avoiding Netflix, cursing chocolate, and preaching about giving up alcohol. I don’t walk 10,000 steps a day in nature, ban social media, or journal daily about how grateful I am to be alive. I will never, ever wake up at 5 a.m. every day because I like my evenings too much. And if that’s the type of health coach you need, that’s fine—I can recommend a few and they are great!

I drink wine. I eat chocolate (sometimes popcorn), and I watch Netflix. I love a bit of social media scrolling, and I don’t drink matcha tea (I drink Yorkshire Tea). My teenage boys sometimes eat junk food and takeaways, despite me educating them on the harmful effects.

However, I do live in balance—I believe I’ve achieved homeostasis. I’m a healthy BMI, I have no chronic illnesses, and in my 50s, I feel great. I enjoy exercise, but I’m not obsessed with it. I stretch daily, I walk daily (but only reach 10,000 steps on a weekend if I’m lucky), and I eat very healthily—about 85% of the time. I meditate and do yoga, but not every day. I’m a busy mum with two jobs—I work part-time in corporate business development and part-time as a health coach. I journal, but only once a week.

I completely understand that there aren’t enough hours in the day to fit in school runs, food shopping, meal prep, cooking, cleaning, work deadlines, meetings, admin, dog walks, elderly relative visits, self-care, healthcare, exercise, planning, relaxing, reflecting, sex, relationships, friends, calls, bills, parenting, breathing…

It can all just be a bit overwhelming.

If you want a coach who is non-judgmental, understands modern-day struggles, understands perimenopause, parenting, the stressful job, the lack of time, the work pressure, the mum guilt, and the daughter guilt… then I can help.

I can help you regain control over your priorities, organise your time to meet your needs, and eat your way to fitness without giving up all your favourite foods and drinks. I can help you enjoy exercise, reach your goals, and still remain your authentic self. Health doesn’t need to be painful or boring. Coaching is about finding your motivation and creating a fun, sustainable, healthy living plan that is personalised to you and your goals.

It can take as little as four weeks of coaching to make significant life changes. My clients gain so much personalised support during this time that they often don’t book additional sessions because they’ve already achieved what they need. Some move on to a maintenance programme, meeting biweekly or monthly.

A four-week programme costs less than a weekly family takeaway or a daily Costa. Is your health and happiness a priority for you?

If you know you don’t feel your best—if you know you could be less anxious, happier, slimmer, fitter, more productive, more energised, and sleep better—then book a free, no-obligation call today.

On the call, we’ll discuss how you want to feel, your health and lifestyle goals, and I’ll explain how coaching works and give you some recommendations.
